Chris Pratt Explains How to Recreate Anna Faris’s Weird “Packaging Material” Look

Things got a little bizarre at the Pratt-Faris household over the weekend.

On Sunday, 37-year-old Jurassic World star Chris Pratt used his social media savvy to once again show us how funny he can be—this time at the expense of wife Anna Faris.

In a hilarious image fit for a comedy sketch, the blonde star sits in bed rocking a just-woke-up-like-this look that we can all relate to. And while her fresh-faced style is noteworthy, her accessories are what raised all the questions.

Faris donned a silver dollar over one eye along with a clear strip of what appears to be Styrofoam that she wore as a headband by fastening it to her hair using two clips. “Pictured here, Hollywood actress Anna Faris models silver dollar in her eye. #daylightsavings,” Pratt wrote, referring to the time change.

So what exactly was going on? While there was no explanation for the silly moment, Pratt moved on to explain how to recreate her memorable look. “A lot of you are asking what’s clipped to Anna’s bangs. Here’s a close-up,” he wrote. “It’s easy to acquire this cute look by simply attaching some packaging material from an Amazon order to your head using two hair pins. Stick a silver dollar in your eye and bam, it’s the perfect daylight savings look.”

There you have it: beauty tips from the one and only @PrattPrattPratt.

First Trailer for Beauty and the Beast Sets Record for Most Views in 24 Hours

The first full trailer for Disney’s live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson is already breaking hearts and records. The studio announced on Monday that the trailer set a new record with 127.6 million views in its first 24 hours alone. Variety reports that the previous two records had been set by the trailers for Fifty Shades Darker with 114 million views and before that, Star Wars: The Force Awakens with 112 million views.

The two-minute trailer (below) heaps on the nostalgia as you’re taken into Belle’s world as the familiar soundtrack of the 1991 animated classic plays in the background. Watson brings Belle to life as she stumbles upon the enchanted castle and its inhabitants including the Beast, played by Dan Stevens. The clip includes cameos from the rest of the star-studded cast, including a cheery Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Ewan McGregor (who plays Lumière to perfection), Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Stanley Tucci as Cadenza, and Luke Evans as Gaston.

And yes, we even get a glimpse of Watson twirling around in her iconic golden yellow ball gown with Stevens. Sigh.

This isn’t the first time the highly-anticipated film has broken records. In May, the teaser trailer for the film generated 91.8 million views in the first 24 hours— which broke the record of 88 million views for the teaser trailer of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Karlie Kloss Hits Up Tokyo with Her Sister Kimberly in Kawaii Style

Karlie Kloss was looking super kawaii—“super cute in Japanese” as Gwen Stefani reminds us—during her recent stay in Tokyo.

The 24-year-old model stepped out in the electric city on Saturday, adopting some of the country’s signature style.

Kloss flashed a peace sign while heading out for a stroll in a satin bomber jacket with gold Japanese characters, high-waist navy capris, brown leather lace-up boots, and a gray flannel shirt tied around her hips. The American model added to her Japanese flair with a set of double buns atop her head.

Keeping it very Klossy indeed, Karlie explored the Asian metropolis with her younger sister, Kimberly. The pair hit the town in beautifully embroidered bomber jackets, sipped cocktails, and even shared a selfie with the woman behind the Hello Kitty franchise.

These Strangers Jamming Out to Shakira on the Subway Will Put a Smile on Your Face

‘Tis the season to put your guard down and slip your dancing shoes on.

Over the weekend, a crew of commuters that seemingly didn’t know each other turned what could have been any other banal ride into one of Madrid’s most epic dance parties. In the video below, one happy subway rider blasted Shakira and Carlos Vives’s “La Bicicleta,” and quickly proceeded to sing and dance along to the hit.

And while moments like these aren’t too rare in major metropolitan areas, this one put the icing on the cake. Seconds after the jam started, a group of young girls eagerly started dancing about the train and singing along. Think they were the only ones? As the song progressed and everyone realized this was nothing but an authentic, feel-good moment, nearly all passengers on board participated in the dance party and walked across the car to get a closer look.

Shakira herself caught wind of the viral video and shared it on her own Facebook page, explaining that she felt transported while watching the clip. “I was in that car, and I had a great time. I got off the train smiling,” she wrote. “The passenger’s words and moments like these are what make music make sense!”

Madonna Twerks in the Front Seat for Carpool Karaoke—Watch the Teaser

Madonna needs absolutely no introduction, thus it’s only right that James Corden include the icon in one of his last Carpool Karaoke episodes of the year. The Material Girl herself takes to the talk show host’s passenger seat during the Wednesday episode of The Late Late Show and sings along to some of her timeless tunes segment.

“Thank you so much for showing me around the city,” says the hilarious Brit at the onset of the teaser video. “I don’t know New York that well. Do you mind if we listen to some music?” To that, Queen Madge responds, “Please. I don’t really like riding around in a car unless there’s music.” Same Madonna, same.

Iconic hit “Vogue” is the first song on the agenda, which breaks through to some booty-shaking by way of Madonna twerking in the front seat of the vehicle—no surprise there from one of the greatest entertainers of all time. Corden then inquires about what it was like to hang out with Michael Jackson. “You want me to kiss and tell then, don’t you?” Madonna coquettishly retorts.

Corden’s response: “Did you kiss?!”

Selena Gomez Surprised These High School Students with Herself (We’re So Jealous)

For Selena Gomez, being a face of Coach hasn’t been about snagging killer threads (although she’s done plenty of that), it’s also an opportunity for the young starlet to make a difference in the world.

As part of her work with Coach, Gomez has also teamed up with the brand’s national charity partner, an organization called Step Up, which helps empower young women from under-resourced communities to reach their full potential.

When Step Up hosted Coach’s CEO Victor Luis as a mentor for a day in two Los Angeles high schools (Alliance Margaret M. Bloomfield High School and Alliance Leichtman-Levine Environmental Science High School) Thursday, students had no idea that a very special (and familiar) young woman would also be joining them.

Alongside Luis and Step Up CEO Jenni Luke, Gomez, 24, helped lead a Step Up curriculum lesson for a group of star-struck (and incredibly lucky) teen girls.

“I am truly thrilled to be involved with Coach and their support of Step Up,” Gomez said in a statement. “Step Up’s mission to empower young women is personally important to me and something even more crucial in under-served communities. Working with the young women I met today was an inspirational experience I will never forget.”

And it’s not empty talk. The “Kill Em With Kindness” singer feels extremely passionate about issues affecting high school students. In fact, the former child star’s latest project, the upcoming Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, was largely inspired by her own experiences with bullying after attending what she recently called the “biggest high school in the world”: Disney.

These Are the 10 Cities Where Women Are Closing the Wage Gap

In honor of International Women’s Day, Trulia analyzed survey data to find out just where women are making the most strides in closing the wage gap—and where there is still work to do.

From 2008 to 2015, the pay gap between men and women decreased nationally by 7.1 percent, including in 55 of the 100 largest cities. Where are women making the most progress? Albuquerque, New Mexico, took the top spot, with Honolulu, Hawaii, taking second place, and Tacoma, Wash., coming in third.

In 33 of the 100 biggest cities, women are just as likely to have a college degree as men, and 46.1 percent of women own homes, as compared with 50.3 percent of men.

While these numbers are encouraging, there is still work to be done. As of 2015, a woman was only making 72 cents to every dollar a man makes, and tech hubs like San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle have pay gaps that are getting wider as opposed to narrower.

The verdict? Keep working for what you believe in, because equal pay is always in style.

What Jackie Kennedy’s Unforgettable Pink Chanel Suit Means to Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman is already garnering Oscar buzz for her role as Jackie Kennedy in the upcoming film Jackie. But taking on the part was a daunting task, even for an actress of Portman’s caliber.

She discussed how it felt to tackle the performance on Monday’s Today show. “I was terrified because everyone knows what she looks like particularly, and how she sounded,” said the Academy Award–winning actress. “And I don’t particularly look like her, other than coloring. I’ve never thought of myself as a sort of mimic or anything. It was scary.”

VIDEO: See Natalie Portman in the Jackie Trailer

The iconic First Lady has been depicted by several actresses to date—Katie Holmes and Minka Kelly to name a few—but Portman’s portrayal in the Pablo Larraín-directed drama is haunting. In the movie, we get a look into the frightful and culture-shifting days following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

And of wearing Jackie Kennedy’s unforgettable blood-stained pink Chanel suit, Portman said, “I think it was smart of writer Noah Oppenheimer to focus the film on these days just after the assassination because it sort of gives you a microcosm of who she was as a person.”

“To see her in this incredibly pressured situation and to see at that moment when her husband was killed in her lap and how terrifying, awful, and traumatic that is,” Portman said. “She had the presence of mind to say ‘I’m going to stay in this dress because my image is important right now.’ It’s important for people to see what this looks like. They were offering to take off this bloody suit and she said, ‘No, everyone should see what this is.'”
