Meghan Markle Sneaks Out of Kensington Palace for Covert Workout Class

It was purported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would take a step back from the spotlight ahead of their May 19 nuptials, and it seems they have. That being said, Meghan couldn’t help but risk a paparazzi run-in on Friday when she snuck out of the palace for a workout class at Heart Core in Kensington.

Markle, accompanied by her bodyguard, was spotted leaving the class in casual street clothes—jeans, a black vest and matching top, a gray beanie, and dark sunglasses. Of course, there was no disguising the diamond sparkler on her ring finger.

As we reported in February, Markle is known to regularly sneak out of Kensington Palace, often going incognito with identity concealing hats. Princess Diana was known to do this as well—often employing wigs as part of her alias.

Stepping out just two weeks ahead of the royal wedding, though, we’re not surprised that Markle was spotted. Regardless, we don’t blame her for wanting to get the extra workout in—after all, she’s about to be the world’s most watched woman.

Donald and Melania Trump Are No Longer Welcome at the Met Gala

“It was a great surprise. We are very happy together,” Melania told the New York Post of the engagement at the time.

During an appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly a few days later, Trump also spoke about his soon-to-be third wife (he was previously married to Ivana Trump, with whom he had three children, and Marla Maples, with whom he shares a daughter.)

“Well, we’ve had a great relationship, we’ve been together for five years and it was really time,” he said. “And you know, Melania is a great woman, a great person and I’m really happy about it.”

Trump was fixture at the Met Gala for decades, with Melania beginning to join him on the famous red carpet beginning in 2003. The couple then made an appearance every year until 2012, and Ivanka has also attended many years.

However, don’t expect President Trump and Melania back at the Met Gala anytime soon, according to Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who hosts the event each year.

During an Oct. 2017 appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Wintour had the choice to eat pickled pig’s feet or answer what celebrity would never again receive the exclusive invitation. After letting out a laugh, she answered, “Donald Trump,” to cheers and applause from the audience.

Since President Trump has taken the White House, there’s been much speculation about outward signs of marital strain, especially in the wake of his lawyers’ admission that he paid to porn star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about an alleged affair. A new report by the Washington Post published Sunday highlighted the couple’s differing schedules and separate bedrooms, while a longtime friend of the president said the couple spends “very little to no time together.”

The first lady’s spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, denied the claim, asserting that “the family spends most evenings together” when the president isn’t traveling alone, but even Melania has admitted to being “very independent.”

“We like to do what we like to do, and we give ourselves and each other space,” she told the Washington Post in July 2016. “I allowed him to do, to have his passion and his dreams come true, and he let me do the same.”

15 Wild Things Kanye West Just Said

After months seemingly away from the spotlight, Kanye West is back and has plenty to say.

He’s returned to Twitter with tidbits and philosophy from the new book he announced he’s working on, has been wearing President Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” campaign hat, and managed to once more find a permanent spot in the headlines. Yes, he’s also been teasing new product from his Yeezy fashion brand and yes, he dropped two new songs: “Lift Yourself” and “Ye vs. the People.”

But in a new, nearly two-hour interview with Charlamagne Tha God, West opens up about wife Kim Kardashian’s robbery in Paris, his own mental health, his relationship to celebrities, and—because it’s Kanye West we’re talking about—Taylor Swift.

Also on Tuesday, West literally headed over to TMZ headquarters, where yep, he dropped some bombs the world likely wasn’t expecting. In addition, a video shared on his website finds him and T.I. exchanging ideas and producing “Ye vs. the People.” The Chalamagne clip can be watched below, but if you don’t have that kind of time, we summed up the most noteworthy sound bites from all three clips, below.

On that Taylor Swift scandal, and how it affected his radio airtime:

“Ever since the Taylor Swift moment, it’d never had been the same—the connection with radio. Whatever powers that be, it was much harder than that.”

On Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery:

“The situation with my wife in Paris and feeling helpless…I went to Paris on that trip to protect her—not to protect her physically, but to go and help her with her look because she’s in Paris. One of the things that she heard was they were coming to rob her, but they had to wait until I had left.”

On wearing the “Make America Great Again” hat:

“Me putting the hat on forces an evolution because even for me, I know so much more in the past three days because I’m getting this energy, positive or negative, agreeing with me or disagreeing with me, and that sharpens our mind, our consciousness, the way we’re thinking, just breaking some sh—.”

On making controversial statements:

“There will be mistakes, there will be flaws in the way I communicate. Because we’re human beings, we’re flawed. I’m not media trained. I’m not studied in that. I’m not trying to say the right thing. I’m just trying to say exactly what I feel out of love.”

On what caused his mental breakdown:

“Fear, stress, control, being controlled, manipulation, like being a pawn in a chess piece of life. Stressing things that create, like, validation that I didn’t need to worry about as much.”

On President Barack Obama calling him a “jackass”:

“You know, he never called me to apologize. The same person that sat down with me and my mom, I think should’ve communicated to me directly and been like, ‘Yo, Ye, you, you know what it is. I’m in the room and it was just a joke…See, Obama came to me before he ran for office, and he met with me and my mother to let me know that he was going to run for office, because I am his favorite artist of all time. Because I am the greatest artist of all time. I’m just saying that it’s a flat statement, up to this point. After me, there will be greater, but this is Ye and this is past anything that’s happened up to this point.”

On his potential Presidential run:

“I might be President one day. I might be in that situation where it’s harder for me to explain to the masses why something isn’t happening that they feel a concept of a president should be able to fix. So to Obama, I would say, I understand bro. I understand.”

On Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s absence from his and Kim’s wedding:

“I was hurt about them not coming to the wedding. If it’s family, you’re not gonna miss a wedding. I’m not using this interview to put any negative things, but I gotta state my truth…”

On the future of Yeezy:

“Yeezy will eventually become like a relief company. If there’s a disaster we’re gonna dress. We’re gonna bring clothes and water. The same design perspective that can sell a $300 sweatshirt, we’re just going to give it. And eventually, that’s who we’ll be. You’ll look up, 5, 10 years from now, and Yeezy will be the biggest service provider of apparel.”

On Nicholas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s women’s creative director:

“Nicholas is the God. He is the top, number one designer in the world.”

On, um, slavery:

“When you hear about slavery for 400 years. For 400 years?! That sounds like a choice.”

On rappers’ affinity for Trump before he became president:

“So many rappers—you’ll look at a video of Snoop Dogg loving Trump. But then he’ll get into the office and now they don’t love him. Trump is one of rap’s favorite people.”

On the consequences of trying to make it in the music industry:

“It’s like boxing. More people end up retarded than rich.”

On why he was on opioids:

“I had plastic surgery because I was trying to look good for y’all. I got liposuction because I didn’t want you to call me fat like you called Rob at the wedding and made him fly home before me and Kim got married.”

On why he deleted old tweets:

“I was drugged the f—k out, bro… Y’all had me scared of myself, of my vision, so I took some pills so I wouldn’t go to the hospital and prove everyone right.”

Chris Pratt Finally Opens Up About His Relationship with Anna Faris Post-Divorce

When Chris Pratt and Anna Faris separated last year, fans were surprised. The two appeared to have a fun-loving and strong relationship, and share a 5-year-old son, Jack, together. While Faris went on a press tour for her memoir, Unqualified, that had her responding to questions about the split, Pratt kept quiet.

That changed in his latest interview though, where he broke his silence on what things are like now as they co-parent Jack.

“Divorce sucks,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “But at the end of the day, we’ve got a great kid who’s got two parents who love him very much. And we’re finding a way to navigate this while still remaining friends and still being kind to one another. It’s not ideal, but yeah, I think both of us are actually probably doing better.”

For her part, Faris seems to agree.

“He’s surrounded by so much love. We constantly reinforce what a great kid he is,” Faris told E! News earlier this year. “I think the key is surrounding him with a lot of joy and happiness, which he has a ton of.”

While there’s no confirmation of Pratt dating anyone since the separation, Faris has a new boyfriend, a cinematographer named Michael Barrett. The two began dating two months after Faris and Pratt separated.

We Finally Know Who Performed at the Royal Wedding

It’s no Beychella, but the royal wedding did have a better musical lineup than the wannabe DJ at your second cousin’s reception.

Guests like George and Amal Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, and Priyanka Chopra were serenaded by Elton John during the lunchtime reception, which was hosted by Queen Elizabeth at St. George’s Hall following the ceremony at St. George’s Chapel.

It was not a surprise that Elton John performed at the wedding, considering the legendary Brit also played at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s nuptials back in 2011. John was a good friend of Harry and William’s mom, the late Princess Diana, so it seemed most fitting that he pay homage to her by giving her youngest son the ultimate wedding gift. Plus, what better way to prepare for a Gucci-fied farewell tour than by getting a little practice in front of the royal fam? Later, 200 guests will celebrate the couple at the evening reception at Frogmore House.

The Spice Girls were also expected to perform, especially after Mel B. (Scary Spice) dropped some suggestive hints during an appearance on The Real back in February.

Other names that were thrown in the ring included Coldplay (like every other 30-something white man, Harry, apparently, is a big fan), Ed Sheeran, and James Blunt. You’ll remember Blunt as the singer-songwriter behind the one-hit-wonder “Beautiful”—but he also apparently spent time in the army alongside Harry, and was once summoned by the Prince to perform during the 2016 Invictus Games. When the Prince calls…

Ariana Grande Has Been Dropping Hints About “God is a woman” Video for Months

And that’s not all. Throughout the month of July, Grande has been dropping more hints about the song and it’s imagery on Twitter, tweeting cryptic messages that turned out to be song lyrics.

The rest of the video is littered with cultural references, from Roman mythology to Madonna’s infamous cone bra. (We’re assuming that the nod to Madonna is a double entendre, a reference both to the queen of pop as well as the mother of Christ.) Madge’s voice even makes a cameo in the video; around the 2:20 mark, a recording of Madonna reading the Bible verse Ezekiel 25:17—a line made even more infamous thanks to Samuel L. Jackson’s monologue in Pulp Fiction—can be heard.

We’re sure there will be more symbolic Easter eggs to come, as fans watch and rewatch the soon-to-be-classic video. For now, we’ll just press “repeat.”

How Prince William and Kate Middleton Are Teaching Prince George About Princess Diana

“Granny Diana” has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

Princess Diana never got a chance assume the moniker while she was alive, but Prince William and Kate Middleton are making sure their kids know her as such. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are all learning about their late grandmother through their royal parents, and now we have intel on exactly what they’re saying.

“We’ve got more photos up round the house now of her and we talk about her a bit and stuff,” Prince William said in last summer’s HBO special Diana: Her Life and Legacy, adding that he and Kate are “constantly talking about Granny Diana.”

“It’s hard because obviously Catherine didn’t know her, so she cannot really provide that—that level of detail,” he said. “So, I do [when] regularly putting George or Charlotte to bed, talk about her and just try and remind them that there are two grandmothers, there were two grandmothers in their lives, and so it’s important that they know who she was and that she existed.”

Julian Parker

Despite the fact that Diana never got to meet Middleton, George, Charlotte, or Louis, William said he has a pretty good idea of what kind of approach she’d take to grandparenthood.

“She’d be a nightmare grandmother, absolute nightmare,” he joked. “She’d love the children to bits, but she’d be an absolute nightmare. She’d come and go and she’d come in probably at bath time, cause an amazing amount of scene, bubbles everywhere, bathwater all over the place and—and then leave.”

“I want to make as much time and effort with Charlotte and George as I can because I realize that these early years particularly are crucial for children, and having seen, you know, what she did for us,” he concluded.

Royal sources tell People that William is making good on that promise.

“[William] can do all the things that he thinks are important for family life and make sure that his children have that loving, caring, fun home that his mother was trying to create,” they said.

Even so, Diana’s presence is still felt deeply by the family, even though not everyone knew her personally.

“At all these landmark moments, [William’s] mother is missing, and it’s sad,” the source said. “But they are creating their own legacy now.”

Lady Gaga Made a Confession About Her Documentary at the MTV Movie & TV Awards

Toward the end of his life, Alexander McQueen tapped Lady Gaga as a muse. She premiered “Bad Romance” at his spring 2010 show, and since then, she hasn’t stopped wearing those sky-high Armadillo heels. So it makes sense that, for her latest public appearance, the pop star turned to a McQueen design, this time created by the brand’s current creative director, Sarah Burton.

Gaga surprised us when she arrived at the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards in the bondage-like, red-and-black dress that could pass for something straight out of her “Alejandro” music video. The look contained a red leather corset with harness detailing and a sheer skirt. Yeah, Mother Monster looks good and must have known that it was going to be a winning night.

While her film debut is set for October with the release of A Star Is Born, she took home the award for Best Music Documentary for Gaga: Five Foot Two, the Netflix film directed by Chris Moukarbel. She also took the stage to present the award for Best Movie, which went to Black Panther.

“Thank you. I love you little monsters so much and happy Pride month,” she said. As she walked out, she also joking about the title of her documentary. “I just have one problem. I recently found out I’m actually 5’3’¾. I’m so so sorry. But thank you so much.”

Hours before the show—which was actually filmed on Saturday—she teased fans with an Instagram story of her getting ready, plus a close-up look at the Alexander McQueen label. The high-fashion look isn’t too shocking considered she stepped out in over a dozen wild outfits in New York in May, rotating between red leather Giuseppe di Morabito dresses and massively oversize Gareth Pugh cheetah-print coats. McQueen would be thrilled.

Queen Maxima’s 33-Year-Old Sister Found Dead from Apparent Suicide

Queen Maxima of the Netherlands’s sister was found dead of an apparent suicide at her apartment in Buenos Aires on Wednesday night, according to reports, including the BBC. She was 33.

“It is presumed that it was a suicide,” a spokesman of the Dutch government told the Argentinian newspaper, La Nacion.

Inés Zorreguieta, the younger sister of Queen Maxima, a native Argentinian, worked for the government in Argentina as an official in the Ministry of Social Development.

In a statement to Dutch newspaper, De Volkskrant, the Dutch government said that Queen Máxima is “shocked and devastated” by the news of her sister’s death. According to reports, Inés suffered from depression and mental health issues.

Maxima has canceled all of her upcoming scheduled appearances and is believed to be making plans to travel from Holland to Buenos Aires.

Patrick van Katwijk

Inés was the godmother to Queen Maxima’s youngest daughter, Princess Ariane, 11.

Queen Maxima, 47, married then Dutch Crown Prince Willem-Alexander in 2002 after meeting in Seville, Spain, in 1999 during the Seville Spring Fair. They have three daughters.

Maxima has said that she didn’t know her future husband was a royal when they met, and that he introduced himself as “Alexander.” Their relationship initially resulted in controversy due to the fact that Maxima’s father, Jorge Horacio Zorreguieta (pictured above with Inés), was a controversial figure, who at one point even threatened Maxima’s marriage to Willem-Alexander.

Zorreguieta served as the Secretary of Agriculture the during the dictatorship of President Jorge Rafael Videla (who is now not recognized as a legitimate president by the Argentinian government), as well as the beginnings of the Dirty War, a military regime that saw the disappearance and murder of thousands of Argentinians, according to the New York Times.

Zorreguieta resigned before the end of Videla’s presidency argued that he wasn’t aware of the Dirty War, as he was a civilian during the majority of it. However, public outcry was so strong in the Netherlands that the Dutch Parliament asked an outside expert, Professor Michael Baud to look into the matter. Baud announced that Zorreguieta’s ignorance of the crimes would have been unlikely. The marriage was still approved by Parliament, because Maxima herself was not involved, but Zorreguieta was not permitted to attend their wedding, according to Dutch News. Her mother also did not attend the nuptials, out of respect for her husband.

Patrick van Katwijk

Though he wasn’t able to attend his daughter’s wedding, as it was seen as a state occasion, Zorreguieta did attend the christenings of all three of his granddaughters, which were considered private, family events.

Last summer, Maxima traveled with her husband and their daughters to attend the funeral of her father, who died in August at the age 89 following a battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Meghan Markle’s Dad Came for Princess Diana In a 9-Hour Interview

First he was all team Diana, telling The Mail that the Royal family has “Meghan treating her father in a way that Prince Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, would have loathed. That’s not what Diana stood for.” But then he retracted his quasi-praise, explaining, “Princess Diana is credited with changing the Royal Family, but she wasn’t perfect. She was still very much one of them.”

“I think Meghan’s the one who’ll bring them into the 21st Century, if they’ll let her,” he continued. Father knows best, right?

Apparently unafraid that his comments about Diana will further distance him from his son-in-law, Markle followed up the Di-bashing segment by sharing, “I don’t care if Harry never speaks to me again, I’ll survive.” Good to know.

The cherry on top? A sentimental shout-out to centuries of British tradition: “‘Who cares these days about a dusty old crown?” Sweet.

Though a retaliatory comment on behalf of the royal family is unlikely to surface, the Internet community has done its part in defending their honor.

C’mon Thomas, enough is enough.
