‘Moves have just started’ – Juve monitor three Man Utd men

Juventus are monitoring three Manchester United players as their contracts expire in less than 12 months, according to reports in Italy.

The Old Lady signed Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey from Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal respectively on free transfers over the summer and they could look for more of the same next year.

Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Sport Witness) claims that Juve are keeping an eye on three United players that could soon become free agents.

The report mentions David De Gea, Eric Bailly and Nemanja Matic as the trio that the Serie A side are keeping tabs on with the club eyeing some more cheap deals.

All three will be out of contract in the summer and the Red Devils will be powerless to resist if another club makes them an acceptable offer.

Reports in England have recently claimed that De Gea is getting closer to signing a new contract but there hasn’t been an official announcement, while Matic has seen his minutes on the pitch limited under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

On the trio, the report in Gazzetta Dello Sport adds: ‘at first sight, they are almost all unreachable, but the moves and counter-moves have just started.’

Ceballos challenged to earn Spain future with Arsenal efforts

The 23-year-old midfielder has reached a key time in his career after being loaned out by Real Madrid, and he is playing for his international place

Robert Moreno wants Dani Ceballos to seize his chance at Arsenal and show he can be a midfield mainstay for Spain.

The loan recruit from Real Madrid is in the early weeks of a season in London that could prove pivotal for his career.

Former Real Betis playmaker Ceballos spent two years at the Santiago Bernabeu without fully establishing himself as a regular starter, although in that time he broke into the senior international squad.

Ceballos has six caps to date and could add to that tally in the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Romania on Thursday and Faroe Islands on Sunday.

But it is club consistency that Spain coach Moreno has challenged Ceballos to produce.

“What I want is for him to play, the important thing is that the players have minutes,” he said.

Speaking at a news conference on Tuesday, Moreno was reluctant to talk about Ceballos and his Real Madrid prospects.

“I’m not going to get into Madrid because [coach Zinedine] Zidane is the one who decides there,” said Moreno.

“I want him to play many minutes now at Arsenal.”

Moreno is also hoping for great things from Pablo Sarabia, who swapped Sevilla for Paris Saint-Germain in July.

Sarabia showed stirring form in La Liga last term to earn his move to the French champions and at the age of 27 a first Spain cap could come his way.

“I think that Sarabia is a player that, having seen him in the position where he performed at Sevilla and PSG, can add many things because he is a forward with the spirit of a midfielder,” said Moreno.

“He can create between the lines and make assists. He also scores goals. When you don’t have a forward that scores 80 goals you need five that score 15 goals each.

“That is what we look for from our forwards, not only to add to the game but to score goals. That is the ideal scenario. Pablo did great in Sevilla last year. He is also performing well in PSG.

“He has the profile that we like for the style of game that we will try to impose. He is one player more for us now, hopefully he will be lucky enough to make his debut in the next games.”

AMFI event shines spotlight on terrible conditions of textile workers

For three days, students at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI) are
working in a mock sweatshop in order to shine a spotlight on the terrible
conditions in which many textile workers are forced to work.

Running between 3 to 5 September, all second-year Fashion & Management
students will be producing sustainable denim bags which will then be
donated to refugees. To imitate real sweatshop conditions, students will be
given a specific task as part of a larger assembly line, and there will be
no breaks, food or drinks. If breaks are taken, the time of the overall
workday will be extended.

AMFI said the goal of the event is to “create awareness among the
students and to let them experience in real life the lack of social
responsibility of many brands.”

It is the fourth consecutive year AMFI students have staged the
sweatshop.

The goal is to manufacture one hundred denim bags: 50 pieces
are for people who are temporarily living on Campus Kara Tepe, Lesvos,
while the remaining 50 will be sold and the profit will be donated to save
the Amazon.

The bags are multifunctional and can be worn over the shoulder and as a
backpack. The denim is leftover from previously donated fabrics by Tommy
Hilfiger and Candiani, while the labels will be made of the same denim and
have been edited by the students themselves in the HvA Makerslab. The
supplies are sponsored by Claudia Sträter and Expresso.

David and Victoria Beckham Formally Respond to Divorce Rumors

David and Victoria Beckham are not heading for divorce, a rep for the couple tells People.

“What nonsense. Journalist Chinese whispers and fake news fueled by social media. There is no impending statement, no divorce!” the rep says.

Internet rumors swirled early Friday morning about the status of the longtime couple’s relationship. As reports began circulating, Victoria sent her “love” to David on Instagram with a photo of her with their 6-year-old daughter Harper.

The two have been together since 1997 and married in July 1999 at a castle in Ireland. They most recently stepped out together at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding in late May, after first attending Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding in 2011.

The pair welcomed their first child Brooklyn in March 1999—and the then four-month-old served as the ring bearer at their wedding. They later welcomed son Romeo in September 2002, youngest son Cruz in February 2005 and daughter Harper in July 2011.

Victoria and David often gush about each other and their family on Instagram and often post shots of their family life. Victoria recently shared a picture of their youngest child Harper wearing a face mask of her father.

“Look who we found walking to school today!” Victoria wrote alongside several laughing emojis.

Victoria also posted several pictures for David’s birthday in early May, including a sweet post of the former soccer star with his three younger kids. She also later helped their oldest son Brooklyn surprise his dad by showing up to lunch unannounced.

“Happy birthday to the best daddy!!” Victoria wrote. “We all love u so much!!! So many kisses from us all.”

Victoria Beckham Has Accumulated 14 Engagement Rings Throughout Her Relationship with David Beckham

Victoria Beckham has quite the extensive engagement ring collection. Throughout the course of her 19-year-long marriage to soccer champion David Beckham, the former Spice Girls singer has been photographed wearing a whopping 14 different diamond and gemstone rings. Our favorite? The fashion designer’s original marquis-shaped rock, which her husband used to propose in 1998 (it’s worth $85,000, reports Entertainment Tonight!).

There are a few pieces in the singer-turned-designer’s jewelry oeuvre that she seems to favor. Some of the more major rings include a massive emerald-cut diamond, which the celebrity wore on two occasions. It was first seen 2003—four years after their nuptials—when the Beckhams attended the MTV Music Awards. She wore it again five years later, during New York City’s 2008 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Victoria also seems particularly enchanted with an oval pink diamond engagement ring from Asprey’s, complete with a pavé band, which David purchased in honor of her 30th birthday.

Anthony Harvey

Not every engagement ring she’s rocked, however, has been a diamond. Her enormous cushion-cut emerald ring seems to be another one of her favorites—she’s been photographed wearing the statement piece multiple time over the years, including the 17th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Academy Award Viewing Party in 2009 and the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in 2012. Her most statement-making bauble, though, is her pear-cut diamond sparkler. It’s a massive stone that’s reportedly worth $2.6 million.

As for the honorable mentions? The rest of Victoria’s collection includes a more conservative diamond band, a ruby-and-diamond ring, four yellow-stoned pieces (two emerald-cut, one oval-cut, and one square-cut), a blue sapphire solitaire, a gray moonstone gem, and a square-cut diamond set in platinum. As the couple approaches their 19th wedding anniversary, it’s possible that the mother-of-four will add yet another ring to her jewelry box.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte Just Added Another Royal Wedding to Their Schedule

Forget the bride and groom. This year, it’s Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 3, that have managed to steal the show at royal weddings. Remember their cameo on Harry and Meghan’s big day? Cuteee. Now, the famous siblings have several months to prepare to star in another just-as-lavish event.

According to the Express, Princess Eugenie of York, their second cousin, has asked them to join her in the official ceremony at her and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding in October. Specifically, Charlotte will “lead” the flower girls while George will act as a page boy, something both of them are pretty familiar with.

On Harry and Meghan’s big day, George helped bridesmaid Zalie Warren (Prince Harry’s goddaughter and the child of his good friends, Zoe and Jake Warren) keep her cool after bursting into tears and having a “meltdown,” while Charlotte kept the group in check, making sure they followed protocol before walking down the aisle. “There was one girl who wanted to go and [Charlotte] said, ‘No you can’t go yet. We have to wait until we are asked.’ She was really organized,” a guest told People.

George also served as a page boy for his aunt Pippa Middleton’s wedding in 2017. While Eugenie has yet to announce her maid of honor, her October 12 wedding at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle (same venue as Harry and Meghan’s) will follow royal protocol in that the bridesmaids and page boys (like George) are all basically children.

Considering Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice never fail to give us a good hat moment, we’re calling it now: this wedding will double as the fascinator Olympics.
