Various reports claim that Man Utd are closing in on the signing of Independiente del Valle midfielder Moises Caicedo.
The Red Devils were linked with the Ecuador international over the weekend with rumours that he could be a replacement for Paul Pogba, with speculation the Frenchman could leave.
Caicedo only made his first-team debut for Independiente del Valle in October 2019 but since then his rise has been sharp.

Over the last 14 months he has made 30 appearances for the club, scoring six goals and providing two assists for his team-mates, while he has now played four times for his national team, grabbing a goal and three assists.
And now it looks like his career could go to the next level again as the 19-year-old looks to be on the verge of a move to Premier League giants Man Utd.
Fabrizio Romano said on Wednesday that the Red Devils ‘are in direct contact’ with Caicedo’s agent and that an ‘agreement on personal terms [5 years] won’t be a problem’.
The journalist adds that Man Utd ‘control the situation by weeks and will decide soon whether to complete the deal or not’ with the fee set at around €5m (£4.5m).
Meanwhile, a newspaper in Ecuador named El Diario Expreso (via Sport Witness) has declared that ‘Caicedo will play for Manchester United’.
The report reveals that United put more money down in order to beat RB Leipzig and AC Milan to the midfielder.
And another newspaper in Ecuador, Diario Extra, adds that Caicedo ‘leaves for England’ ahead of his transfer to Man Utd.
