Jordan Henderson has named Aston Villa star Jack Grealish as his standout player of the Premier League season so far.
The Englishman played a pivotal role as the Villans secured their top-flight status in 2019/20. It looked for much of the season that they would go down. But they clawed themselves to safety via an impressive end to the season.
Grealish’s game has moved to the next level this season, though. The attacker has six goals and six assists from just 12 outings so far this season.

He has spearheaded Villa’s strong start to the season, as they sit in 11th place with games in hand on those above them.
This great form has also seen him earn a regular place in Gareth Southgate’s England team. He is currently well-placed to start for The Three Lions at next summer’s European Championships.
Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s game against Crystal Palace on Saturday, as cited by talkSPORT, Henderson heaped praise on Grealish for his performances this season:
“Jack Grealish has been really good so far. I think he’s improved, matured and has taken his game to another level.
“He’s one of the players that’s been a standout this season I’d say.
“Obviously I’d be biased and I’d say a lot of my teammates as well but I’d probably pick Jack so far.”
So with Spurs looking to recover, Leeds looking for satisfaction, Southampton looking to keep going and Arsenal looking for just literally anything, you could call this a Big Weekend.
